I started my journey in natural health and wellness more than ten years ago.

Over the years, especially in my mid-thirties and early forties, I had lots of health challenges – mainly related to the hectic, rushing life I was living. I was trying to fit in as much as possible in the least amount of time.

According to research, food and exercise together account for 70–80% of attaining your health goals. Nutrition influences a variety of chronic ailments in addition to helping you maintain a healthy weight, including digestion, sleep, energy levels, productivity, mood, and emotional and mental well-being (like diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, and autoimmune conditions)

Do you offer daily meal plans and diets?

As a nutritional therapy practitioner and a functional medicine health coach, I will offer you guidelines and suggestions on how to eat and what to avoid to achieve your health goals. This gives you more freedom and flexibility than a prescribed meal plan. Apart from that, I will provide collections of recipes specifically designed to help with hormonal balance that you can choose from to design your own meal plans.

Do I need to restrict my portions and count calories?

There are some principles that can be followed in the short term to support hormone optimization, but I’m not advocating counting calories in general – it’s not a sustainable practice. It’s a mindset of restriction and deprivation. Listening to your body’s hunger and satiety signals is part of the coaching process. Eating nutritious whole foods and practicing mindful eating can help regulate your body’s appetite (and reduce overeating and emotional eating). Also, I adhere to the rule of inclusion rather than exclusion. Eating more of the healthier foods will ultimately keep out the unhealthy foods.

Would this work for me if I am a vegan or vegetarian?

The guidelines inside this nutritional coaching program are based on eating a nutrient-dense whole-food diet that includes all food categories long-term. While I can offer food substitutions and swaps for vegans and vegetarians, if you are not willing to add any animal protein to your diet, this may not work for you.
