This is one of my most favorite dark chocolate candy recipes. I usually grab them between meals or on the go whenever I feel the need for something sweet and at the same time healthy and satisfying. You will love them as they melt and have this delicious velvety texture.
This chocolate recipe is dairy-free and gluten-free.
Makes: approximately 20 candies
Prep time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
100 g raw cacao butter
50 g raw cacao
150 g date paste (you can reduce it depending on how much sweetness you want to achieve)
30 g nuts (almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts)
Steps to follow:
1.Melt the coconut butter using a double-boiler melting method.
Use a flat-bottomed pan that fits into another pan of simmering water.
Add roughly 1-2” of water to the base pan, again making sure that the inner pan doesn’t touch the water. Bring the water to a simmer and place the raw cacao butter inside of the inner bowl. Stir occasionally until the butter is thoroughly melted. Don’t let the pan get too hot.
2.When the butter is melted add the cacao powder and stir well until the mixture is homogenized.
3.Add the date paste and stir well.
4.Pour the mixture into a chocolate mold form and add small pieces of the nuts into each of the forms
5.Leave them in the freezer for 2-3 hours.
Enjoy!
